From salt to chocolate
In Imón, a hamlet belonging to Sigüenza, in Guadalajara, about 75 minutes from Madrid, you can find the most important salt mines in Spain, in the region of Atienza and the province. The story goes that the King, under whose control they were located, used the salt revenues to pay the nobles and the Bishopric of Sigüenza.
Centuries later, Chocolat was born , a former spa of a rural hotel where chocolate massages were given, now converted into a 4-star rural house, idyllic to disconnect from the city, enjoy the tranquility and the wonders of its surroundings.
At only 6 minutes walking from our rural house Chocolat you can visit the famous salt mines of Imón.

Raquel, its owner, has renovated and decorated it with the utmost care in the spirit, decoration and quality of the whole house, which is distributed in three cozy floors.

During your stay at Casa Chocolat you can visit the famous salt mines of Imón, the medieval city of Sigüenza and Atienza, just a 6 minute walk away.
With multiple cultural and sporting activities in its surroundings, it has cycling routes, hiking, hunting, the wonderful Atence reservoir, where you can go kayaking or swimming in open water or simply connect with nature taking a nice walk.
You can also enjoy the varied gastronomic offer of Sigüenza and its medieval days among other festivals and traditions throughout the year.

Yes, you can come with children, but as it is a three-story house we recommend you to be careful with the stairs and windows. A travel crib is available in the house in case it is needed.
